Lost Macrae family from Coventry UK in the USA?
Margaret born 1784
Ann born 1786 (Married and Stayed in Coventry)
Thomas born 1789
Daniel born 1792
John born 1795 (Parents John & Elizabeth)
There was also an older son Alexander and possibly a daughter Jennet.

I should love to hear from anyone who might be related to the above or has any info on them.

Hi Jane Not sure if this is of any help but I have found two Alexander McRae s in My Family tree. One was married to Mary possible Marion Cameron and the other was his father who married Mary Mackenzie. Does this tie in if so I would love to hear from you.

Hi Helen

I don't know if the same Alexander all I have for him is his apprentice record:-

MC RAE, Alexander, son of John of Coventry, weaver: to his father: 5 Nov
1792.(He would have been about 13 at this time).

Hi. I realize this was posted YEARS ago but I thought I'd reply anyways.

in my family tree (done by my cousin on an ancestory website) We have:

Margaret McRae born 11 March 1804
Daniel McRae born 29 April 1798

Then we have a John Renfro and Elizabeth Owens but their sons name was listed as James and born on Feb 1856

Now I know the dates don't match but the names are so similar, is it just a coincidence?
