Looking for information on Margaret J. McRae. She was the second daughter of John McRae. Lived in Ms, Alabama, or TN in 1869-1870. She was a "little" girl but old enough to remember a visit by her uncle Alexander and cousin Daniel McRae. Has a brother Kenneth around the same age. Has a brother Alexander and at least 1 older sister. Has a grandfather Smith. May live near her Aunt Jane (Jeanette) and Uncle Kenneth's family. Was a young woman in 1881-1882.

This reply is not specific to your question, but I am a professional genealogist hired to work on the ancestry of Bishop Alexander McRae -judging from this site and genforum also an ancestor of yours. I suggest that we combine forces - I am interested in documenting as thoroughly as possible to erase confusion. I have recently read a filmed copy of Alexander's letterbooks, but do not see the reference to his father, etc. However, this could be on the faded pages (about 10 or so). If you have that data, can you contact me? Thanks.
