Looking for information on William Wallace McRae, youngest son of Daniel McRae. He was living in Highland, Tishomingo Co., Alabama in 1886. His father, Daniel, had passed away between 7/10/1885 and 1/15/1886. William has a brother Duncan.

Here is some more information on William Wallace McRae. In a letter from my ggggrandfather (WW McRae's uncle) he is being asked about William A. McRae, James, Thomas, and Franklin. Asking whether Thomas has gone to Texas and whether Franklin has gone to Tennessee.

Have you found what you needed on WW McRae? His mother was Rosa Paden McRae and that is where my connection is. WW was a physician and founded McRae hospital at Corinth, Alcorn Co, MS in 1923. I have put a Memorial to him at the website He died in Corinth, Alcorn Co, MS. I have a picture of him and his young family from the late 1890's. I also have a pict of his house in Tishomingo Co, MS, before he moved to Alcorn Co. Dr McRae died in 1935 from a skull fracture while in an auto accident. His wife was Alice V. McConnell. His children that I know of was Maury McRae, also a doctor, and Ione McRae, who I have not yet found who she married.
