My name is Dianne (nee) Cormack. My g Grandfather was George CORMACK who came to NZ in 1875. In 1880 he married Grace MACKIE. One of their children was Rosetta May CORMACK born 16/10/1894. She married Ian MACRAE. The cildren I have for them are: John, Cormack, Norman. The latter being twins. When I came across your site I was interested in the George Cormack MACRAE born in Edendale in 1924. Mother died when he was 4. Sent to Norfolk Island to live with aunt then to Dingwall in Auckland for rest of his childhood. I have been trying to trace my CORMACK forebears in NZ. Have sent this to Australian site as doesnt seem to have been any activity in NZ for some time.

Hi Dianne. I am a direct descendent of George CORMACK and Grace MACKIE. I have various bits of information that might be of interest to you. I would definitely be interested in learning more about your branch of the family. I currently know of 145 descendants of George and Grace and 170 descendants for the John CORMACK and Emily STEWART (3 generations earlier than George & Grace). You can contact me as sairvin (AT) Regards, Sean.

Good day,
I'm afraid I can't add, just want to leech...
The Aunt on Norfolk Island would have been Janet Le Brun MacCrae, who married Charles Chase Ray Nobbs in Mosman, NSW in 1948.
I have no other information on her and if you have any would dearly like to know.
