Duncan McRae (Kenyon, Glengarry, Ontario)died in 1849, his wife, Mary McLeod McRae, died at the birth of their child, Colin, in 1841.

Mary's death is reported in the book, "Historical Sketch of Kenyon Presbyterian Church, Dunvegan by Reverend Donald N. MacMilian as the birth of her son, Colin, was the first recorded for the church. "Colin McRae, born the 18th July, 1841, baptized on 25th; parents Duncan McRae and Mary McLeod who died at his delivery; residence No. 20-9th concession of Kenyon, Glengarry, Upper Canada."

I have a marriage in the parish of Glenelg, Scotland of Duncan McRae and Mary McLeod in 1821. Duncan was a shepherder from Eilean Reich south of Glenelg.

I'm unsure if these are mine. My Duncan and Mary's children were born in Ontario, Canada starting in 1825. Their middle son, John, my ancestor wrote a one page summary of his life reporting his parents' names and when his father died and said they were from the Highlands in Scotland.

Anyone out there connected or have any direction for me to go next?
