I hope someone can help.Duncan Bayne McRae no dates, a son John(born ? )m. Isabella MacRae Jan.28,1804 at Achnaghart, Glenshiel. Their family Duncan b,1806; Duncan b,1809; Duncan b, 1810;Duncan Bahn b,1812;Farquhar b,1815;Donald b, 1818;and Catherine b. 1820.
Duncan Bahn was my grandfather and came to Ontario, Canada where he married Anne McRae daughter of Duncan R.and Anne McRae who had been married in Glenshiel in 1826.I do not know when or where they sailed from or where they landed in Canada.Any help would be appreciated.

I do not know whether I may be of assistance to you, but I do notice that I, too, used to be Sage McRae, before marriage. How funny! There aren't too many Sages in this world...that we should share the same family name is another coincidence.

My relatives also settled in Ontario, Canada. As I remember, their names were Bob and Alice. I believe Bob passed away last July; I have never met Alice, who would be my great aunt.

Anyhow, nice to have heard of another Sage McRae out there...

Have you any connection to a Donald Macrae who married Hannah Macrae (father, Donald Bain Macrae) in 1832 Kintail?
