I'm going to Scotland in Aug 08, and will be visiting Eilean Donan and Inverness. My greatfather was Duncan Noble (born in Connage, Petty Parish, Inverness Co. in 1860), the son of Hugh Noble and Margaret MacRae. Hugh and Margaret were married in 1860 in Inverness Co. Margaret MacRae was the Daughter of Duncan MacRae and Margaret (?). Any information on the "tree" would be appreciated.

I just picked up your enquiry on a google search. Sorry it's two and a half years late (!) and not sure if you'll even receive this now, but I'm interested in the Noble side of the line. My grandfather was Simon Noble, b 1880 at Freeton, Petty. There were a number of Nobles in the Petty Parish, but I do know there's a family connection specifically with Connage. Could this have included your Hugh and Duncan? Any information would be very interesting.
