My uncle, William MacRae, who used to live in Aultbea, Wester Ross, is trying to obtain details of a song his uncle used to sing, titled 'The River Ewe'.
He remembers the words of the first verse which are as follows:
Somewhere I know there is a highland river,
Its banks are broad its border flaked with foam,
It wanders through the the lonely western highlands,
But though its far away to me its home.
If anyone can tell me who the original artist is and where I might obtain a copy I would be most grateful and my uncle would be delighted.
